The following charities have received donations from our Charity Giving Fund totalling 1,400:  Centre Point, Crisis at Christmas, Friends of Salisbury Cathedral, Homestart, Hope for Tomorrow Chemo Van, Juvenile Diabetes Research, Link Scheme, Medecins Sans Frontieres, Naomi House Children’s Hospice, National Churches Trust and Wessex Medical Research.   A further 410 has subsequently been arranged to go to the Friends of Shaftesbury Westminster Memorial Hospital, Salisbury Hospital Stars Appeal, Dogs for Good and the Salvation Army.   Small contributions when coffee is served after Matins will be requested over the months and the money collected will be donated to Christian Aid during Christian Aid Week.   A balance of around 500 is to be retained in case of a disaster occurring during the year so that, for example, a donation can immediately be made to Shelter Box.   It was marvellous to be able to send an entire box to Haiti in 2016.   Two Coffee Mornings will be arranged as usual in the summer and before Christmas to raise money for 2017 giving.
